Have you not known? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. – Isaiah 40:28 ESV
Steps on Your Journey to Know God More Intimately
This name is Bara Katsa Erets in Hebrew. Bara means create, creator and make. Katsa means end. Erets means land, earth and world.
As I look out my window and see Pikes Peak (over 14,000 feet high) and the whole mountain range, I’m amazed at how huge and majestic it is. Yet our God is much greater. He created all the way to the ends of the earth. Think about how big the whole earth is.
Now, imagine how much fun God must have had creating everything—the mountains, valleys, lakes, rivers, oceans, trees, birds, fish, animals, people, bugs and so much more.
Since God is the Creator of the Ends of the Earth (as well as of the whole universe), don’t you think He is big enough to handle whatever difficult situations you may have? I often remind myself that since God created the universe, I know He can handle whatever may come into my life and yours.
Meditate on this name. Ask God what He wants to show you through it.
A Prayer for You
Creator of the Ends of the Earth, I praise You and thank You for Your remarkable creativity that I can see all around me. Help me to become more aware of Your presence when I am in nature.
