01 Introduction and acceptance

Welcome to the website of Relationship Resources, Inc. (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a nonprofit organization based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of relationshipresources.org and related services, content, and functionality.

By accessing or using this site, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

For legal entities: If you access the site for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

We may modify these Terms. When material changes are made, we will publish the updated Terms with a revised “Last updated” date and provide additional notice when appropriate. Continued use after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance of those Terms.

04 Eligibility and user accounts

Age requirements

This site is not intended for individuals under 16. If you are under 16, do not provide personal information through this site.

Account responsibilities

If account features are offered, you agree to provide accurate information, protect login credentials, notify us of unauthorized access, and accept responsibility for activity under your account. We reserve the right to refuse service, terminate accounts, and remove or edit content at our sole discretion.

All Relationship Resources books and products are covered by copyright law. No portion may be copied without written permission from Relationship Resources or Gaylyn Williams unless copyright law provides otherwise.

Limited license

Website text, software code, and graphics owned, held, or licensed by Relationship Resources are provided solely for presentation or individual research. Commercial reuse, mounting the material on other systems, redistribution, modification, reproduction, creation of derivative works, or removal of proprietary notices requires written permission.

Content you submit

07 Donations and payments

Donation processing

Online donations are processed by a secure third-party payment provider, currently Zeffy. We do not store complete card information on this website. Donations are final and non-refundable except where required by law or otherwise agreed by us.

Tax receipts

Relationship Resources is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and provides donation receipts as required. Consult a qualified tax professional about the deductibility of a gift.

Fees and pricing

Fees for books, workshops, or other paid services will be shown before purchase. Pricing may change, but a change will not alter a completed purchase unless required by law.

08 Third-party services and links

This site may link to third-party websites or services that we do not own or control, including donation, retail, media, and social platforms. We are not responsible for their availability, content, terms, security, or privacy practices.

09 Disclaimers and warranties

Site availability and accuracy

The site is provided “as is” and “as available.” We work to keep information accurate and the site available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access or the completeness, reliability, or continued availability of content or services.

Professional services disclaimer

Site content is for educational and informational purposes and is not professional counseling, therapy, medical, legal, or financial advice. If you face a mental health or medical emergency, contact emergency services or a qualified professional.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim express and implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10 Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Relationship Resources, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and volunteers will not be liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses, resulting from use of or inability to use the site, unauthorized access to or alteration of data, information or services obtained through the site, or another matter related to the site.

These limitations apply under any legal theory, even if we were advised that damages were possible. Some jurisdictions do not permit certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11 Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Relationship Resources, its officers, directors, employees, agents, volunteers, and affiliates from claims, losses, liabilities, costs, and reasonable legal fees arising from your misuse of the site, violation of these Terms, violation of third-party rights, or content you submit.

12 Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the site immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination remain in effect, including ownership, disclaimers, indemnification, and liability limitations.

13 Governing law and dispute resolution

These Terms are governed by Colorado law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Dispute resolution

Before filing legal action, the parties agree to attempt good-faith negotiation. If that does not resolve the dispute, it will be resolved through binding arbitration in Colorado Springs under the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except for requests for injunctive or equitable relief, intellectual-property claims, and eligible small-claims actions.

For matters not subject to arbitration, you consent to jurisdiction and venue in the state and federal courts located in El Paso County, Colorado.

14 Force majeure

We are not liable for delay or failure caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, war, terrorism, labor disputes, government action, utility interruption, or technical failure.

15 Severability

If a provision is found invalid or unenforceable, it will be limited or removed only to the extent necessary, and the remaining Terms will continue in effect.

16 Entire agreement

These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and other legal notices published on the site form the agreement between you and Relationship Resources regarding site use and replace prior understandings about that use.

17 Complaints and feedback

Send concerns about these Terms or our practices to info@relationshipresources.org. We aim to respond within 30 business days. Privacy complaints may also be directed to a regulator as described in our Privacy Policy.
