For this is what the LORD says—he who created the heavens, he is God; he who fashioned and made the earth, he founded it; he did not create it to be empty, but formed it to be inhabited—he says: “I am the LORD, and there is no other.” – Isaiah 45:18 NIV
Steps on Your Journey to Know God More Intimately
- This name is Yahweh Bara Shamayim in Hebrew. Yahweh means Lord, God or Jehovah. Bara means create or creator. Shamayim means Heaven or air.
- Our God is the One Who Created the Heavens. When we look up into the sky, we can only see a tiny portion of the heavens. Even powerful telescopes can only see a minuscule part of what
- God created.
- Louie Giglio has an incredible way of showing how great our God is, by looking at stars. If you haven’t already seen it, I encourage you to watch his “How Great is Our God” DVD. It is totally amazing. After watching this video, my view of God changed dramatically.
- Think about this name. What is God showing you through it?
A Prayer for You
Lord, I praise You for Your greatness, power and creativity in creating the heavens. Teach me to know You more and enjoy what You created.
