Sing to God, sing in praise of his name, extol Him who rides on the clouds; rejoice before him—his name is the Lord. – Psalm 68:4
Steps on Your Journey to Know God More Intimately
- The Message puts it this way: “Sing hymns to God; all heaven, sing out; clear the way for the coming of Cloud-Rider. Enjoy God, cheer when you see Him!”
- Meditate on this name.
- Close your eyes and ask the Lord to show you Himself as the Cloud-Rider. What does He look like? What’s He doing?
- I’ve been watching the cloud formations. They are so interesting. They are always different. One morning as the sun rose, there were brilliant pinks turning to golden and then to yellows.
- When you notice the clouds, remember the One who rides on them.
- What does this verse say to do? (It tells us to do three things!) Will you do them today?
- Thank and praise Him for what He shows you through this name.
A Prayer for You
Cloud Rider, I want to see You more clearly. I want to see You riding on the clouds. Remind me when I see cloud formations that You are the One who rides on them. Help me to see You more in the clouds. I praise You and sing to You. I choose to rejoice before You today.
