He is the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them—the LORD, who remains faithful forever. – Psalm 146:6 NIV
Steps on Your Journey to Know God More Intimately
- The New Living Translation says, “He keeps every promise forever.”
- The Hebrew word for faithful here means firmness, faithfulness, truth, sureness, reliability and stability.
- Think about this—God will be faithful to you forever. He’ll never, ever change. He’ll never stop being faithful.
- I’ve seen God’s faithfulness in so many ways. He has always been there for me through the hard circumstances and the easy times. He’s carried me through many tough times, like when my son was dying, or as I raised my sons alone. He has always provided for me and protected me.
- How have you seen God’s faithfulness in your life? You might want to start a list of all the ways God has been faithful to you. Then when times get difficult you can look back at the list knowing that since He was faithful in the past, you know He will be faithful in your present and future.
- In what areas are you struggling with seeing God’s faithfulness? Talk to God about them and you might want to find another believer to share those struggles.
A Prayer for You
Lord, thank You that You remain faithful forever. You have always been faithful, even when I couldn’t see it. I know even when storms come, You will always remain firm, secure and stable for my family and me.
