He is the Maker of heaven and earth, the sea, and everything in them—the LORD, who remains faithful forever. – Psalm 146:6 NIV
Steps on Your Journey to Know God More Intimately
- Think about this name. Our God made everything. Your Father made Heaven, the Earth, the Sea and everything in them. What an amazing God! Take a few minutes to meditate on how incredible He really is.
- Sometime today, go out and look up at the sky and around you at the earth and the ocean, if you’re close to it. Think about how God made all of it. In addition, we can only see a tiny portion of what He has made—a little tiny speck. Actually, what we can see would not even amount to a tiny speck compared to all He made.
- Ask the Lord to help you begin to comprehend what a great God He is.
- Worship Him as the Maker of Heaven and Earth, the Sea, and Everything in Them.
- Thank Him that He remains faithful forever. We can trust this incredible God, because He is, and always will be, faithful.
A Prayer for You
You are such an incredible God. My mind can’t even comprehend how great You are. Wherever I go, I see Your handiwork—in the sun, moon, stars, clouds, mountains, oceans, lakes, animals and so much more. Thank You for Your creativity in making so much beauty for us to enjoy. And thank You that I can trust You because You remain faithful forever.
