For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline. – 2 Timothy 1:7
Some things you can do today with God’s name
- Isaiah 11:2 also talks about the Spirit of Power.
- We know the Holy Spirit is in us (1 Corinthians 6:19). This is the same Spirit that was in Jesus, empowering Him to do the incredible miracles. Consider what it means that the Spirit of Power is in you. What kind of power does He have?
- How have you seen the Spirit of Power work in your life?
- If you haven’t seen God’s power at work in your life, why do you think you haven’t? Ask the Lord to show you anything that is keeping you back.
I want to see more of the Spirit of Power at work in my life. I definitely see Him at work, but I know there is so much more available.
Lord, please reveal your power in each of our lives today in new ways. We want more of you. More of your power. In Jesus’ name.
