Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of his understanding. – Isaiah 40:28 NLT
Steps on Your Journey to Know God More Intimately
- This name is Olam Yahweh in Hebrew. Olam, in Hebrew, means everlasting, ancient, old and evermore. Yahweh means Self-Existent or Eternal. Think about what it means that your God is the Everlasting God. What does that mean to you? Talk to Him about this name today.
- Does it comfort you to know that He will never grow tired or weary? At times I get exhausted, but I know I can depend on the Lord (and so can you), because He never will get tired. Wow! How encouraging. And when I need wisdom and understanding, I can go to Him, because His understanding is more than I (or you or anyone else) can even begin to fathom. Again I say, “WOW!”
- I love the whole chapter of Isaiah 40. It is so powerful. I memorized it when I was in high school. I’d encourage you to read it.
A Prayer for You
Thank You, Everlasting God, that You never get tired or weary and You have limitless understanding. I praise You because You are so amazing. Such an awesome God! Help me learn to lean on You more.
