I remember a time that God showed me His support by sending a friend to be His arms around me holding me up. After my fiancé was killed, my best friend, Debbie, flew out from Minnesota to be with me in Colorado. She supported me in many ways, including being there at the reception after the memorial service. I remember her with her arm around me holding me up as I greeted everyone who came to say goodbye to Ian. I’m not sure I could have stayed standing if Debbie wasn’t there. In the same way, many times the Lord stands beside us holding us up. Sometimes He picks us up and holds us in His arms, because we are too weak to stand. I’m not so sure that that day as Debbie held her arm around me, that I wasn’t actually in the Lord’s arms. Have you ever felt like that?
