The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. – Deuteronomy 33:27 NKJV
This name in Hebrew is Mehona.
Steps on Your Journey to Know God More Intimately
- Mehona means den, habitation, dwelling place and refuge.
- Ask the Lord to show you how He is your refuge or your dwelling place. What does that look like to you?
- In Isaiah 32:1-2 we see the Lord as our “refuge from the storm” and in Psalm 59:16, He is our “refuge in times of trouble.” How do these verses add to your view of God as your refuge?
- Do you have a place you go to for refuge, when you need to get away from the stresses and pain of life? Could the Lord be that place of refuge for you?
- If God is not already your refuge, what might you need to do to find your refuge in Him? If you’re not sure, ask Him. He’ll show you.
A Prayer for You
Lord, thank You that You are my refuge. You are the place I can find shelter from all the storms of life. Teach me to live in You—in Your refuge.
